Welcome to our series – How Computers Work
Everywhere you look computers are changing the world. They are on our desktops, in our homes, in our pockets, and just about everywhere else. But while most of us use this technology daily, we don’t often ask, “How do computers work?”
This is an educational series that covers the basics of computers with enough technical information to satisfy the techno-curious, but not so much as to confuse the average home/small office user.
With an introduction by Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, computers are covered in five short modules:
1-Introducing How Computers Work
2-What Makes a Computer — a Computer
3-Binary Data
4-CPU, Memory, Input Output
5-Hardware and Software
With appreciation to our new partner Code.org for helping to demystify computer science and show that anybody can learn the basics of How Computers Work.
